This is not a B,S&T album, it's David Clayton-Thomas soloalbum. It's with mixed emotions that I listen to this album. With all the excellent musicians that participate, my expectations were high. But they weren't fulfilled, he don't use the musicians that he had brought in, they could have done better. There are no solos, anything that the average musician couldn't' have done, with some exceptions. But all in all I enjoy listen to this album. N'Awlins Gal reminds me about Mama Gets High. It's my favorite track with Lew Soloff. On trumpet. Biscuit is a song that makes you happy. The Dixie Hummingbirds is doing the background vocals. Ashleigh's Song is a song about his daughter. Bobby's Blues is another favorite, a song about a bartender. After You Fall, written together with Fred Lipsius is a real beauty. An outstanding ballad that deserves to be a hit. But since there's no justice in this world, it will probably not be.
